Nothing hits harder than when you are told that your loved one has cancer. It feels sometimes like a death sentence. I know it is scary.
We are a family who has survived cancer diagnosis on multiple levels. From grandparents, great grandparents, our own son, cousins, parents, etc. So yes, I know exactly what I am saying when it feels like a death sentence. But it isn't always. Sometimes it opens many doors and closes a few you never knew you would no longer need in your life. Weird I know! With Spoil U Photography, I want us to be a open door for you and yours. Because unfortunately, tomorrow isn't promised and we need to capture and keep memories close of those we love.
If you are a family who has a family member diagnosed with cancer, then we want to gift you a FREE photography session once a year during treatment. Now please keep in mind, my policy on FREE Sessions (free sessions are edited and done in my free time).
An absolute amazing photographer friend of mine did a family session for us when we were told our son only had a 30% chance to survive when he relapsed. STORY TIME: I reached out to my friend only 36 hrs after we received the news and asked him if he could fit us in for a family session. I didn't care what time it was, and he didn't either. He got us in after 9p that night. And mind you my kid's bedtimes are 8p lol. They were excited to have the photos done with our friend Paul Carter, but so tired. It was worth it!
We will always want to pay that forward, however more than that, the reminder of what my family meant to me in that moment is priceless and by doing that for others means so much to our heart (as a family, not just mine alone!). It very well could have been the last photos we had, it could have very well meant the end of life as we knew it, and having the reminder on my phone, my walls, & my computer is a constant reminder to be thankful for the NOW, present, and that there is hope on dark days and moments of life.
A forever thankful for the picture above from Paul N Carter Photography! Copyright is all his always, and happy to share my beautiful loves.
Edit to Add: I had a couple business friends ask if they could "Sponsor" a family for sessions. And yes you can do that, but it is not necessary. Yes our time is valuable, and yes we have bills to pay. But being able to gift a family photos, when they need to be saving their money for treatments or travel for treatments is priceless. I just may be delayed in getting them edited, but they will get done.
